Ok well i was looking around for a super charger system for my car, and i was watching the lil 6 video, does anyone have this setup and could you get 400 hp out of it and still be a dd?

you cant get 400rwhp out of any supercharger without cracking open the engine. if you want 400rwhp with no engine work, you will need to get a turbo. if you want 400hp off the crank, then it is very easily done with the supercharger. a supercharger at 12psi and a few bolt ons should make 400hp off the crank with no problem. if you are really stuck to the supercharger and want 400rwhp, get SSM stage 3 heads and cams.


400hp or 400rwhp is definitely daily driveable

Whats better a turbo or a super charger and what kind of turbo would you recommend.

I may start up some arguments, but I am gunna say that turbos are better in my book. They run off the exhaust gas instead of the engine crank, so it is not parasitic. It makes more power at similar boost, and doesnt tun the engine as hard. The only down side is that it is more expensive system and install. If you go for a turbo, PowerHouse411 is the best kit out there right now.

You will have a hard time making 400RWHP with the Vortech... Turbo is you best bet... more expensive but if you are looking for 400RWHP, it's the best way to go... as mentioned the Powerhouse kit is top notch..

Well i might end up going with the ph turbo setup, but its still up for debate until i can afford them! But maybe turbo is the way to go.

if you don't have the money yet, you shouldnt really decide on a system. just do some research about f/i in general, and get to know how things work generally. when you get the money, then make the decision on the system specifically

what about these steel/metal head gaskets that will allow for severe increase in compression ratios?

also, with cams and supercharger, what kind of power could you see? 400rwhp? 450rwhp? what else can be done to make even more?

new injectors?
rods?
pistons?
arent our heads already aluminum? so why replace them?

I will be installing my Vortech supercharger with aftercooler soon... I should be looking at 330 HP. I'll have to wait and see once its all said and done
