The stock V6 handles better than a GT when it has the GT sways on it. No way the stock V6 handles better than the GT.

sounds like margarita girl has had one too many margaritas. light weight change your name
Now you've gone too far.

Transmission:
V6 = T-50D
V8 = TR 3650

Gear Ratio:
V6 = 3:31:1
V8 = 3:55:1

Suspension:
V6 = 28.6mm tubular stabilizer bar (front)
no rear stabilizer bar
V8 = 34.omm tubular stabilizer bar (front)
add 22mm solid stabilizer bar (rear)

I can give you the difference in the bore x stroke, displacemnt and compression ration too if you need it.

Again, on the Pony Package there is a stabilizer bar.

Did you test drive a Pony Package or a Base V6 model? They are different when it comes to handling.

EDIT: I fixed your quote - 28HopUp

Margarita Girl said on page 1 that she test drove the two cars in 2005, and the Pony Package wasn't available back then. So she drove a 4.0L V6 with the regular suspension and 16" tires.

Aaaaaaah! See, that's like driving a rental Mustang and trying to compare it to the rest of the line up.....it just doesn't match.

Not saying there is anything wrong with the base model as there are many 4.0 members here who arevery satisfied, but you can't compare apples to oranges.

do sway bars make that much difference? or is it only mostly felt when cornering at higher speeds?

From what I understand, it helps mostly with high speed cornering, but who knows. I've heard others say it does make a difference in the way the car handles.

Makes a difference at any speed...
It's for hard cornering, witch can occur at 25mph or lower.
In other words, it helps prevent body roll.
