V6: Stronger Internals than V8?

RE: V6: Stronger Internals than V8?
im glad margarita girl can read a brochure oracouple internet posts, but its all about how everything works in unison and the sheer weight loss off the front end of the car going from GT to a V6 PP will cause the6 to be a better handler.

i had the car aligned. so maybe its been knocked out of alignment? idk. will agressive driving do that?if so what will keep it from doing that? (besides the obvious answer of not driving agressively. lol.)

Looks like things have been well covered in this thread, yes we have forged rods (I wouldn't push the stock rods to 600rwtq if I were you), and we have what is technically a strong block, though its still easy to throw a rod through it if you know how. Its a gray area however, because GT's have to additional cylinders to make power, push boost through, etc.
I agree with John, I haven't seen any blown head gaskets, and several of us have pushed it to the bleeding edge. Lances motor held together fine with the stock head bolts, I had studs but others I talked to said the bolts are fine. More like piece of mind.
We share the same achilles heel as the GT, the hypercrappy pistons. But, there is no replacement for displacement, so mod for mod the GT will win. But its not difficult to get the 4.0 in the 11's on the stock block, and its an easy recipe with the GT as well.
I also read that the 3.55 is no longer a standard feature on the GT's, and you have to order it as a upgrade option. The 5r55 is not the same for both cars, namely the input shaft which is smaller on the V6.

RE: V6: Stronger Internals than V8?
I've been here forabout 1 year reading all the postings. For the life of me,I can't figure out why all the fuss about V6 versus GT? I have 2 V6 ( an 07 & 08) and love them both!If I felt the GT was better,I would have bought one when gettingmy 2nd car.
I say if you don't race, who cares. I got the cars forlooks not for speed.
Even though when test driving the GT against the V6, I found the handling the same and the power was only slightly greaterin the GT. I felt the cost of theGT and the insurance was just not worth that differance. Enjoy your cars.

This V8, V6 fight won't go away guys...
Don't waste time with idiots...
Heck, I had morons telling me my car was just a sixer and they never owned a V8!!
Also a redneck with a beat up 5.0 said it was a mistake I did, not buying a V8. When the specs are the same between the 2.

RE: V6: Stronger Internals than V8?
The original question was an inquiry into what is meant by a stronger internal between the V6 and V8.
By no means was it trying to imply that one is better than the other.
Too many factors and too many differing values from owners of both to determine which is the "better" car.
Thank you.

That is a valuable piece of information for me, although it sucks.
Thanks for the info sir.
