Here's a pic of a '65 Mustang Vert with a GT package and the appropriateexhaust. I can remember the muffler extension popping through thevalance having pumped a lot of gas into one.....no"ricers" in 1965.....

i say go with the GT bumper. i dont like how the whole muffler sticks out. looks kinda ricey to me.. [&:]JMO.
JUST MY OPINION. don't flame the ish out of me for saying that [:@]

However, JimC's idea is a great alternative
Wow....and how old are you??? Before there were people driving rice we ate it as a side dish back in the days when you saw many, many MUSCLE cars with exhaust pipes sticking out of their rears.
To say a fellow Mustang looks like RICE is blasphemy!

Ricey was the last thought on my mind, but you're right, it is your opinion and thats fine.

But I agree with 07stang (and I love how that looks on yours buddy, what setup?) I think it stands out in a good way, its not ricey at all in my mind because its a CLEAN visual throwback to an older inspired look, and I love it for that.

Thanks guys! I have Pypes X-pipe, mid mufflers and GT Takeoffs.

Cam, here are a few of mine, the GT take offs are painted black so they are a little hard to see but I wanted them to blend in rather thanstand out with big silver mufflers:

I am so stealing this idea!
What did you paint the mufflers with?

The paint on the back of my Flowmaster started to peel last summer (the body of the muffler comes painted already) so I just went and bought some high-temperature flat black spray paint (for BBQs or something) and painted it up. Looks exactly like it came from the factory, and it's been about a year with no peeling or anything.

You can buy a can for like $3 at any hardware store.
