Void your warrenty, that is rediculous. They wouldnt build them to go that fast unless they were going to cover it. I would do what ODDESY said if you dont hear it then its most likely in your running gear

Hey guys this is my first post.

I have a 2007 V6 and noticed today that when I hit 90MPH there is a weird noise. Its kind of like an air/fuel jetting noise (sorry if this doesn't make any sense.) but when I hit 95 or so the noise stops, and doesn't return until I get to 90 and then goes away under 90.

If anyone knows the cause of this it would alleviate a lot of worry.
Thank you.
Hey Cabbage,

I know what you are talking about.

Let me guess you have the stock 3.31 gears and tires...

The noise happens at 2750-3000 RPM with moderate/light pedal pressure.

Sounds like the rattle at the end of this video.... play it a few times...

Starts about 90 and goes away around 95.

Under WOT in mine you can't hear the pinging but it is still there (Pipes are 100+dB).

This year I'm getting a tuner and dropping the spark advance in the 2500-3000 RPM range down a point.

Had the dealer check it twice. Had it on the tuner.

Everything program-wise was normal.

Even replaced the MAF, but made it worse.

93 octane didn't help.

Retarding the spark advance is where I'm headed this year.

I had the same type of noise. This may not be it, but I realized that my windows weren't going up all the way. You know how they automatically zip down 1/4 inch when you open the door, and then they zip back down when you close the door. They weren't closing all the way when I closed the door. Could that be it?

DUDE I only needed to listen to it once and instantly heard the noise near the end of the video. Thats the same problem. your right it does go away at 95.

I am getting a CAI and a tuner for it soon so maybe that will help. Let me know if you find a solution.
