anti lock brakes w/ yokohama tires???
so... i'm driving today when an almost unavoidable accident sets itself up in front of me. a red light (oncoming traffic) following a green light (for my side of the road) and a moron of a driver all decide to work together and present the situation.
naturally, I panic (as I wasn't focused on the oncoming car making the left turn in front of me), and slam on the brakes. mind you, I was going a good clip...
I'm home now and I've got flat spots on my tires... LIKE BAD!!! I'm curious - aren't our mustangs equipped with ABS? It would appear from the way my tires ground up that if ABS was installed, it certainly wasn't functioning right! now i'm off tomorrow morning to go try to replace the two front tires... its horrible driving with a pair of ka-dunk-a-thunks in the front....
anyone experience a similar scenario? i mean... yeah I should expect it but I figured the ABS would totally help me out there. I've only got like 2000 miles on these tires!!!! BAHHHH!!!!

well... in the end I had to replace all 4 tires =/... it was pretty ridiculous! i guess I was sliding a long distance...
i'm glad it was only material though - it can always be replaced.
be careful out there guys!
