It was super easy to use. So far so good with it. But about the CAI, I actually thought the same thing you did about the tubing, but the MAC Cai has the same design, using the stock tubing. http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ck_airbox.html
And it made the same if not better gains then the other ones that replace the tubing.

VMP custom intake uses the same setup as your steeda intake. Justin has stated that his intake has very similar gains as the other big intakes on the market. Supposedly, there is no further benefit in going larger than a 3" MAF housing which is what his has and i believe the steeda has also. as for the tube collapsing, i can see this happening with a larger engine and a restrictive filter assembly but our aftermarket filters allow air to come in almost unrestricted so i cant imagine collapse occuring on a lightly modded stang. tube is mainly for looks and long-term durability. i love the way my c&l looks under the hood but the steeda is definitely a nice looking product even thought it still uses the stock tube. only knock i have on your purchase is the price you paid since you didnt get any custom tunes. try vmp.....his tune files are only $50 and i've read nothing but great reviews from his tunes. good luck and enjoy dude.
