Default Is this supercharger a good deal?

I was looking on craigslist and saw this brand new vortech supercharger for the v6 mustang. Heres the post.

Idont like that he said he was selling it for a friend. If his friend can afford a 5K supercharger why cant5 he affordinternet service.

+1....very good point. even if its legit, it still would give me the eebie jeebies making a deal with this person. if you decide to proceed with this offer, be VERY VERY precautious. i would rather buy a brand new one. JMO.

Just make sure he has proof of payment to Vortech and that stuff hasn't been opened/used etc.

alright i was gonna bring some of my bigger friends if u know what i mean when i went to go look at it. But other than that is that actually worth 5k knew and is it worth 3.5 used i bet i could get it a bit lower also.

+1. The kit is $4.2k shipped from superchargersonline.com. Still $3,500 is a good price if it was never used. If it was used, I wouldn't pay more than $2.8k for it. Check for the warranty info too, it should come with a warranty slip if it is new.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't do it!!!!! Never buy something that is worth so much money if you don't know that it is going to work!!!!! Don't be a FOOL. Expecially if it is one like I got from last year. Vortech made a bad batch of V2-SQ S-trims last year and I was one of the lucky ones. This could very well be one of those!!!! I would gladly pay 1000 more dollars for one that I know will work than a cheaper one that might mess your car up completely!!!!!![:'(]

so you guys definetly dont think i should buy it? i emailed him and got pictures if anyone wants to see them just pm me and ill forward them to you. I definetly want to save as much money as i can so let me know guys thanks.

bump he lowered it to 3k. still waiting to see if its still under warranty.. apparently he has had it for a while and its all open but not used? sounds kinda sketchy.
