I'm a big fan of the old 2.3 t cars. Was yours a SVO or a 2.3 with 3rd party turbo? The 4.0 is a great platform, with a less than a handful of bolt ons you are looking at high to mid 14's. With FI 13s, 12s and 11's are doable on the stock block. Love the grabber orange.

Yea , I loved that 2.3 !!!mostly because it was a bunch of old parts (except turbo) I had an old 88 fox body just sitting around doing nothing ,my friend had a wrecked Thunder bird turbo coupe that he gave me . so with the help of web site turbo ford . com ,I made the swap .
and it fired up first try!!! awesome, with just a boost adjuster (@ 20#s ) car ran 14.6 !!!
I was amazed that this crappy looking car with a stock motor w/140thousand on the clock ran so good !so when the turbo went bad I upgraded to a t3-t4 hybrid@ installed meth injection . Next track time was freaking awesome ,ran a 13.8 on street tires @ 104
people loved it ,they weren't used to seeing a four banger run like a 8 !! ,I always got comments like ... what the hell did you do to make it so fast!!! I mean just looking at it you
would think , that thing is gonna race!!. But jaws would drop after I made a run ,lots of people would stop and talk about the fast little 4 banger ,it was cool I do miss it but I after owning that car I knew the 4.0 could be made fast ,Its just another reason that I got the 6 instead of the 8 , people like things differant .so when you start whiping 8s with your 6,it just makes it special!!!
