Default Sorry guys but I converted

i am sad but happy to say that i traded my 06 v6 pony in for a 05 GT.....thanx for all ur help an support and i will check in from time to time to see how u guys and gals are making out with ur awesome rides.....Peace....and remember keep ur rear wheels smokin...

+1 on the upgrade.....i never did and still don't understand why the mentality of v6 vs. GT continues.....good luck on the GT!

what was your v6's mileage? what is the gt's mileage? how much more money are you paying? im curious as i will eventually be doing this as well.

Well personally I chose the V6 for a number of reasons, but pretty much I liked the pony trim better than the GT logos. Also was looking for whichever had better fuel economy, but looks like the V8 should get 17-18mpg, whereas I'm getting about 19mpg right now. I can get up 20-23mpg but the traffic here kills that. I would've spent almost exactly $10,000 more for a GT than a pony package, I felt for a commuter car I should just stick that extra 10 grand in the bank and keep it. Later on the financing was dropped for a while on all Ford models, but there was no telling at all that'd happen. They told me they never saw that happen on a V6 model in the first place when I got mine.
