I bought my 06 GT vert in the middle of a snowstorm in 07. It was new, and had been on the lot for 15 months. I got it for $3k below invoice with every option except heated seats.
It helps to buy RWD V8 convertibles in the middle of snowstorms.

Never just make one stop shop...you're bound to find a better deal somewhere GUARANTEED. This didn't sound like a good deal either. But 7% is a pretty good interest rate! But 72 months is 6 years. If you buy a brand new stang, do you think you'll keep it for good or at least 6 years? If not, I'd buy used and you'll get a better price and perhaps more of a car too. The value of the V6 depreciates immediately off the lot. You'll be paying for a brand new car for awhile, even if you sell it in a year. If you have the $$$ and don't mind if you're not sure though...then go for it I'm speaking from the perspective of a full time employee/student who bought an used (barely a year old) V6 fully loaded at the age of 19.

I got mine for the same deal (72 Months) and I dont see a problem with it. The majority of the people that buy cars almost always either trade-in or sell their car before them 6 years is done. I mean its probably personal preference on how you approach it.

yeah in northern california, the 06 california special was done by california customs which is probably some local outfit. my salesman told me that california specials are done locally, depending where in california you are there's a shop nearby the dealer that does them.
