Pony vs. Pony
Last night, I was on my way home down a major parkway here in the south OC when another pony package, this one a coupe, pulls up next to me and starts revving.
Now, I don't do the street racing thing, so I just laughed at him, particularly since he was bone stock, and seemed to have something loose in his rear left wheel, maybe a loose caliper or a wire clip rubbing the wheel.
Anyway, he takes off like a bat out of hell, and because he still had the stock exhaust, his car makes this high-pitched whine which really surprised me. I took my stock exhaust off the day I bought the car, so I never really got used to how it sounded. I would describe it as rice, but that would be trite, and not exactly accurate since there is a V6 on the other end of that pipe. Anyway, my son was with me. He's eleven and knows little about cars. He asked me why that Mustang sounds like a girl's car.
I was going to tell the driver about the sound in the wheel, but since he was being a dick, he might have to find out the hard way. I wish i could be there for that.
So yeah, moral of the story: upgrade your V6 exhaust if you don't want small children mocking your ride.

Ha mine screams up in the higher rpms with the blower on there!! But I guess it does have some nice tones at idle and cruising. One the about exhaust is, it makes you fall in love with tunnels like you never knew was possible. hahaJBA duals FTW!!!!
