Hello. I have a 99 sn95 v6. My buddy isn't very mechanically sound. He has an 05. Asked me to change the auto fluid and filter. I figure it is straight forward but just wanted to ask. Anything I need to know besides drop pan, drain, and change? thanks.

Yes there is more to it than that. Take it to a shop. It is a sealed tranny. There is no fill point, no dipstick. I had mine changed at Valvoline at the same time with an oil change for a little over 100. To fill it you have to have the fluid change machine with the proper pressure fittings

its filled through the drain plug.

id be worried bout a place just flushin it through the transmission lines, because without the special tool to put into the drain plug, checking the level isnt possible.

now there is a company that makes a new pan and it has a dipstick in it

What is that company and do you have a link Fazm. I'd prefer to be able to check my fluid levels.
