Borla Dual Exhaust HELP Drone SLP
 

I have slp powerflo now with pypes x-pipe and the highway Drone is so loud.

Also I cant figurewhat he has the11750 with round tube like muffler.

I know this a very common question and i have been reading for days this and every forum out there.
I just need to know if my best bet is the 11752 (square)or 11750 (round tube)
Im not going flowmaster or Mac, and corsa cost too much for me.

I had a bad rattle coming into my dash, I fought with the dealership several times to get it taken care of, and after I put on my FRPP dual exhaust, I had some drone also.

They ended up finding some obscure TSB for the exhaust dampeners near the transmission. They removed them and my drone disappeared, as did my rattle.

You may want to look into that and see if it helps as well.

ummm not to be a dick but 6 comments down in the yuotube video he says right there that he has the borla stinger, and if you want that then you would most likly be better off getting the FRPP stingers, same exact thing(borla makes the FRPP too)except the entire muffler isnt polished and the tip says ford racing instead of borla. also the stinger do drone as well, not sure how it compares to what you have though

I would imagine you would have about the same drone with the borla but idk. I know I have drone with my pypes muffler deletes.

I've got dual Borla's (actual Borla's; not the FRPP's) sitting in my basement waiting for the install, and they aren't completely polished either. Just the tips are chrome. Everything else is just the dull stainless.

So the only difference between Borla's and FRPP's is about $100 and the name stamped into the tip.

And from what I've heard, the Stinger's do drone. Don't have 'em on yet to confirm, but literally everyone who's talked about the sound has mentioned drone. I think the rectangle ones might not drone as bad, but again I can't confirm. They also won't be as loud and mean sounding as the Stingers due to the design, but that's a trade-off you have to make for the drone issue, I guess.

**And yes, the guy in that first video has the Stingers (the round tube ones; part #11750). That video is basically the reason I bought Stingers, they sound pretty awesome.

oh well the pics on websites are very misleading then, everytime i see the FRPP's the tip appears to be the only polished part but he borla brand ones make the entire thing look polished, oh well

I heard the corsa exhuast gopt ride of the drone problem but the borlas are still way cheaper

How long have you had that exhaust setup?

yeah i put 5k on my pypes xpype and i get minimal drone now
