I would use a dremel to make a cut out so the tips can move up into the rocker... will look much better

Good for you for actually doing all that yourself, but it looks really unfinished and kind of nasty with the tips just hanging below the rocker like that. If you get the tips tucked into a moulded rocker panel, or even the stock rocker panel with holes cut into it like project85 said, it will look much, much better.
It's a cool thought though, good job with the work so far, and good luck with getting everything finished cleanly.

But I still think it's silly to have side-exit duals for a V6.

1. Is your car lowered in the front only?
2. What size wheels and tires do you sport?
3. Is the overall diameter of your tires smaller than that of the stock?
I ask because something looks not quite right about those things.
