Does anyone else's car make a whistling sound while you're driving? It's not super loud or anything, but I especially hear it when I'm just taking off and while the car is shifting. It's more noticeable when I'm driving at slower speeds. I thought it might be related to the intake... all I have is a K&N filter, and it did the whistling even before that. In fact it's done this since I got the car. It sounds quite cool, but I'm not sure exactly what causes it.

I been noticing the same thing on my car since I first got it don't know either but its sounds great

I'd say check for a vacuum leak under the hood,but you say only when driving. Never heard of whistle noises on our Mustangs. Some cars make a whistling noise around the grille area. Hard to find.

Go back and re-read... at SLOW speeds I can hear it better. It sounds almost like the whine of a supercharger but it's a whistle instead... it's always done this since the day I got it. I just never really thought much of it before. It's a really high frequency whistle, so I guess it's possible older people might not even hear it. I know my dad doesn't hear it. You can hear it more between the first few shifts.

I know what your talking about. It's been really cold here in chicago lately and I take my 07 mustang out and it sounds like its supercharged. After awhile it goes away when the car warms up.

This was one of the first things I noticed about the car when I got it...when you first get on it you hear a whistling or sucking sound. does sound like it's supercharged. That's normal. Mine got a higher-pitched whistle after I installed my CAI.

I have a whistle, but that is the supercharger.... You might have a vacuum leak.
