Should i purchase an AirAid cai or a AFE cai?

The tuner is a little bit down the road please dont talk about tuners... I know they are the **** haha i am going to buy one dont worry!!

I have done some reasearch on this forum and it seems like the AFE cai is great but i have also heard ina fewcases the CEL turns on with the AFE should i play it safe and have FORD install it orsomeplace else that can do it for cheap?... any suggestions

when i was looking for a cai that did not require a tune i went with the K&N and don't regret it at all.

True I did the same thing. When I was looking I seen 2 kinds of CAI ones that required no retune and ones that do require retunes. I went with the K&N because it did not require a retune and I LOVE and TRUST the K&N products. A friend of mine bought a CAI that required a retune and did not do the retune Thinking he would do it down the road and had MAF problems. From what I have seen on here you should save your money if you want the retune and get both at the same time I would think that way you will avoid any problems putting on a CAI that requires a retune and avoiding the MAF failure problems I think you will have. Also I do not have the ***** to void my Factory Warranty by with a retune. I went the safe way. What I have seen with my K&N was a small increase in HP and a 25MPG highway and 21MPG in the city. I also put on a MAC performance muffler to aid the CAI.
