Exhausted from Exhaust.

Ok so here's my problem. I have a FRPP cat back on the drivers side. Its 2 months old. Ive been thinking about getting the FRPP dual kit, I like that it comes with all the goodies needed. Problem is it comes with both mufflers and I dont need the pass side. The other problem is im not sure its the same mufflers, the FRPP site says the muffler i have has a 3.5" tip. The FRPP package from Nino says they have 4" tips. So since it seems I have to buy both mufflers ( FRPP and Borla tell me they only sell the drivers side in a kit) this would mean Idpossibly get 2 mufflers that are not the same as the one I love that I have now. What if I dont like them? Does anyone know if they are the same as the FRPP muffler that comes as a single?

I just dont want to spend 600 bucks plus 200 shipping up hereto the great white north and get stuff I dont want.

200 shipping?! that sucks...

Anyways, yeah, the dual FRPPs are different than the single FRPP. The one you have right now is actually a Borla mufflers. The ones that you get with the FRPP kit are special ones made for the V6.

You will be getting mufflers that are not the same as yours. However, they sure do sound sweet. If I didnt already have a nice exhaust setup, I would have gone with the FRPPs myself.

Buy just the muffler and have a shop custom fab it in for you.

Anyone know if the axle backs for a GT from Borla are the same as the 6er FRPP muffler?

The FRPP dual kit comes with GTA mufflers (the same ones that come stock on Shelby), while the V6 single axleback by FRPP is made by Borla. To my knowledge you can't by a single GTA muffler and here is the product # for the borla/FRPP GT mufflers M-5230-5GT*. I don't think the GTA and Borla would work well together anyway. If I were going to switch to duals, it would probably be best to buy both mufflers so they match up right. I hope this helps.

So Im thinking I could buy a pair of Borla 11752 for a GT and take my car to a muffler shop and get a custom cat back built???

these look like the exact pair with the Borla dual V6 kit.

You could get the FRPP kit, and see how you like it.

If you DO like it, sell your FRPP/Borla muffler.

If you DON'T like it, buy a new SET of FRPP/Borla mufflers and sell the GTA's and single FRPP/Borla muffler :)

I think you will like the FRPP dual kit, did you listen to the soundsclips MrSandman and I posted of ours?
