Our cars don't look European
Hey everyone. I said no it's American, it's a Mustang and he said to me "Who makes them". I said ford does. Then he compliments me agian and leaves. Wow pissed How can you say this is French lol[:@][:'(].

Was he high? Drunk? Talk with an accent?Using a foldable cane to walk and wearing dark sunglasses....as in BLIND?!!?! Man...there's no way I would have been able to keep from saying something like "Are you nuts or have you just never seen an american-made car that wasn't a Pinto or made prior to 1983? Freak.

I've had people comment that my car sounded European (w/ dual GT take-offs), but never that it looked European. Just goes to show you that some folks don't know...

Wow, French?? Italian would have some sense as the short deck long hood design was inspired by Ferrari designs.
My brain had to do some gymnastics to make sense out of French, but here goes a shot at it.
OK, three degrees of seperation:
The 1962 Mustang 1 concept car design was copied almost exactly by Fiat when they built the X1/9.
Fiat is french.
The production Mustang design was inspired by the popularity of the short deck long hood feature of the original concept, so there you have your French conection! OK, shoot me now:-)
I should add that is the Mustang in the top pic, X1/9 below it.

wow although he did compliment the car, seriously? I think it's crazy when people don't know it's a mustang, let alone THINK IT'S EUROPEAN lol. I had a girl get in my car one time and say wow this is nice, what kind of car is it? Apparently she didn't notice the pony in the grill or the MUSTANG in the door sill, or the "mustang" on the dash, or the cloth seats that say "MUSTANGMUSTANGMUSTANGMUSTANGMUSTANGMUSTANGMUSTANG"lol
