Is the 7.5" rear end strong enough?

Is the 7.5" rear end strong enough?
For the X-charger Hi-Po kit, MAC L/T Headers, H-Pipe and GTA's? Say we have 300RWHP (roughly more or less), is it strong enough? Or should I just go for the 8.8", take the 80 pounds it adds to my car and call it a day?

I think fazm was or is running the 6.5 rear end on 400+ rwhp and taking it to the strip. I will let one of them chime in on the specifics, but from what I have read, everyone says it is fine and to just run with the 7.5 until it blows then swap to an 8.8. That is what I plan on doing.

Problem is, my car is not staying in the USA for much longer. I'm shipping it overseas to Europe so buying a rear end over there is pretty much a huge problem haha

If your 7.5 does not have the TLoc I
would go for the 8.8" takeoff with the TLoc.

If it just a daily drive and you wont be running DR and dropping the clutch at 3-4k the 7.5 should be fine. I donthavean supercharger but I'm keeping the 7.5 rear. I already purchase an Auburn Diff ($200)on ebay and havinggears plus install cost ($400)tommorrow. My total cost is $600

If your gonna waste 600$ on a diff and gear install. You could go pick up an 8.8 out of a junkyard or something for way cheaper than newtakeoff.com
Otherwise order it from them and your still farther ahead. If you are going out of the country why even both with being scared about breaking it? Beef the damn thing up with the 8.8 and driveshaft and be done with it.
Do it right

I agree with Irgnation on the 8.8. You are gunna spend 600 for a T-lok that could wear out with the power of the X anyway. I'm probably gunna go with an Eaton Truetrac for my 7.5 for the upcoming X, but that's because I can get it installed for free. If I was in your shoes I would go with an 8.8
