Default FRPP duals install question

So I was looking over the directions for the FRPP dual exhaust install before I get started tomorrow. It says I'll need to tap to hang the drivers side hanger...problem is, I don't have a tap. I've never tapped anything. Any alternative way to do it? Or do I need to go buy a tap or something? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you need to tap the hanger bosses on the driver side of the car. I bought a tap and die set at Sears just for the install. Got anyone you know that has some? It only takes 10 minutes tops, and that part will be done.

No you don't I did not have to tap anything when I installed my FRPP kit. There are already holes on the drivers said all ready for the install. Keep in mind though, I have an 07 and it could be possible on 05 or 06's?

I had the bolts from my v6 muffler and they bolted right into the pre-drilled holes already there. Just go get under your car with a bolt and look and see, try and screw one in.

I have an 07. The holes are there but they are not tapped with threads. I wouldn't recommend trying to use the bolts to cut the threads in there. Yes, you can do it, but if you bugger up the boss in the body, you can not replace it, you can only go to a bigger bolt, or repair with a heli-coil. Take the time to do it right. You know the old saying... An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I tapped them with the bolts, and an air gun. Went in easily. I accepted the risk of stripping, but it worked out.

I guess in my 37+ years of everything that could go wrong doing just that, or having the car torn half apart only to discover you need that one flippin' tool you didn't think about, and having to reassemble your only car to go get it then tear it apart again.... You get the idea. It's always better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Just common tools though. If it requires more than Sears or the parts store can provide, I'm taking it to someone. There's a point when the cost of the tool is more than the labor to have it done.

That might be true that they need tapped, but if it is true, mine went in exceptionally easy. I mean, so easy that I didn't even know they weren't tapped and I was only using a socket driver.
