Question about TSBs and what Ford does to fix them...
I removed the stock Pony Package spoiler from my car and replaced it with a GT spoiler. After removing the stock spoiler, I found a deep scratch in the paint where the spolier rubbed against the trunk lid. I didn't know it at the time, but Ford has already issued a TSB addressing this issue:

Can I go back to my dealership and have them repair the damage to the trunk lid? If the car is under warranty, are they obligated to fix problems that arise from problems addressed in TSBs? I just want to know the answer before I head to the dealership and potentially waste my time. Also, I've tried to fix the problem already using touch-up paint, but therecess in the paint is still there, and the paint doesn't match up perfectly with the original paint, so I think the scratch looks even worse now. Will the dealershipstill fix the problem even if I've already tried fixing it myself? Thanks for the help...

RE: Question about TSBs and what Ford does to fix them...
This winter I had the frozen e-brake problem which is under a TSB. My car is out of warranty. I called my local Ford dealer and was told it probably wouldn't be covered by Ford since it is out of warranty. That doesn't make sense to me. If it is a known, admitted problem, by Ford why don't they fix it. So my guess is if your car is out of warranty it won't be fixed for free.
