Having a problem with my 93 race tune from you know who....
hey guys, i changed my car to the 93 race tune with less than a quarter of a tank left (which had 87 octane). is this the reason why it wasn't running or sounding right? i flashed it back to stock, but will this problem go away once the 87 octane gas is gone?

anyone? i'm really nervous right now and wondering if there is something wrong with the tune or whether the problem is just the remaining 87 octane gas.

excuse my ignorance, but what is detonation? and it is filled with 93 except for the little bit of 87 that was leftover. how longwould it take to run out the remaining 87 just driving around?

Pre detonation to be exact.
Its the gas detonating before TDC
or across from the spark plug and
the two fires collide. A 93 tune needs
93 Octaine fuel hence the name, "93
Octaine Tune".
Pre detonation is not pretty and hard
on the rod bearings.
