What is the stock rwhp? I keep hearing 210. But is that RW or at the crank?

210 is at the crank. Rear wheel varies with reports.

I know I have seen on this forum and heard that even though it is rated at 210 hp net that the 4.0 is actually closer to 220 -225 hp net ??

Hmm... maybe on other applications, like the Ford Ranger or Ford Explorer, but probably not on the Mustang. I'd have to think if that was the case then they would rate it with the higher power.

^^^

+1

I've heard many people say that the GT is actually about 310 at the crank rather than the advertised 300, perhaps for insurance purposes, but I haven't heard the same said about the V6.

It's the smaller engine daily driver and not the "sports car" of the line-up, so I can't really imagine why Ford would understate the horsepower of the V6.

Anyone have any dyno data on a stock V6?

Anyway, to the OP, don't quote me on this, but I recall hearing that the V6 puts down about 186hp to the rear wheels. That might not be dead-on, but it's in that neighborhood at least.

I'm getting 3.73's, the FRPP exhaust, TLok, C&L intake, and Evo 93 tune on my car in a few weeks, and I'm going to have the shop do a before and after dyno pull, so when I get those results I'll be sure to post them.

I have heard this rear-wheel number to be in a similar neighborhood.

4.0L SOHC V6
Horsepower @ rpm (SAE net) – 210 @ 5300
Torque (lb-ft. @ rpm) – 240 @ 3500

Even the 2009 is unchanged:
