Driveshaft Failure!!!!!!
Ok, so..in my infinite lack of mustang knowledge it has been brought to my attention that my 110mph habit on a stock driveshaft spells d.i.s.a.s.t.e.r. So please people steer me in the right direction for a shaft capable of holding up against let's say 140+ mph????

RE: Driveshaft Failure!!!!!!
ok, I watched your vid and you're telling me the X only put you to 271? Don't they advertise 300+??? $4000+ is a much for only 60 extra horses over stock...but ok, aluminum shaftermaster can do at least 130mph. Anyone else have higher numbers and links for a drive shaft?? I am an idiot over here...so much so I thought my car was satin silver until I looked at the paint code T8 and read it is tungsten gray lmao

RE: Driveshaft Failure!!!!!!
What year is your car? The 05's had their driveshaft U-joint bearing caps peened in. Later models have the retaining clips. The clips are much more reliable. I haven't heard or seen any of the later style failing. Not saying it hasn't happened, because even the best have bad apples. I would totally be for itif you've got an 05 with the peened in caps.

2005 or 2007, I'd still upgrade to a new driveshaft. Stockers aren't that great from what I've seen. It should be a great investment. Aluminum is the way to go. But if you're trying to go 140...do you have your car tuned so you don't have a governor? If not, you'll need to do that if you plan on going past 115. That's the average that our car cuts out at.
