Default weight savings

anybody done any interesting weight savings with their stang?
or any wieght savings at all? lighterweight aftermarket parts, modifications to stock parts, part removals..?

anybody have any spec.s on how much individual stock parts weigh, or comparisons to aftermarket parts?
wheels, hoods, battery, bumpers, exhaust, ect. would be great.

i'm lookin to lose a little weight on my mustang, maybe feel a little more power to it, maybe save a little gas?(:

thanks!

Default RE: weight savings

i was afraid somebody would say that..
thats ok. i know its a strange desire for a brand new car, and a mustang at that.
it wasnt the absolute perfect car for me when i got it, and it wasnt really my primary decision, so me and the stang are at odds sometimes. i've thought about selling it, but i love her more and more every time we're out together. we have to work at our relationship, but its worth it.

i know that sounds a little off color, but that pretty much sums it up.

on to business: i was just pokin around online, and happened upon some Roush parts. a little pricey, and i dont think its anything i'd invest in, but if anyone wants to see:
Carbon Fiber Hood http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=784
Carbon Fiber Front Fenders http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=786
those three parts would cost somewhere around $24,$2500. just for parts, and unpainted. and probably shipping on top of that.
Performance Driveshaft http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=1001
just over $800, weight savings of 12 lbs., i think.

i'm sure thats not a comprehensive list, but its what i saw on Roush that specified lightweight parts.
