Just an edit so I don't look like a tard, I know this was not a gt/v6/bullitt. I swear it was a gt500. But I am searching the internet and can't find one with an auto transmission. So maybe I am mistaken, but I am still taking a picture of it an posting it on here, LOL

I will be back at the dealer next week, I will take a pic of it and post it up, it's black, spoiler delete, with an auto tranny. I just looked on the dealers website and they don't have it listed on the website.

400hp is fine, but 500hp simply does not work, Chevy was playing around with developing their own auto box for the ZO6 but dropped the project. It is impossible in this day and age that there could be a GT500 auto.

FWIW,from what I could extract from the Shelby Automobile site, the Shelby GTs can come with an auto.

I think that, other than for Ferraris, dealer markup on any car is sodomy without Vaseline. Having said that, I can understand that some Ford dealerships would markup the Bullitt, as it will be a future collector's item. Of course, you can upgrade a GT to the level of the Bullitt, but it won't carry the mystique, the sentimental excitement or especially the resale value of the specially-made Bullitt.
$10K markup, though. Mm-mm-mm. Shame.

Oh they are, I drooled all over the white/silver striped Shelby GT when they had it on the lot. My concern is if it's fake, you can look at the front end and instantly tell if its a GT500 or not. the SGT just has what looks to me like a cali special front. If it's got the GT500 body parts, and an auto, someone is pulling a fast one. If it is a clone, they're waiting for a sucker to stick it to. "It's just a GT500... not a Shelby..." that's sacriledge.

RE: $10K dealer markup!
pardon me if im wrong... but isnt the gt500 and the shelby gt both shelby products... the shelby gt only has 325hp... much like the gt350s of the 60s, and the gt500 has 500hp. so shelby gts could come wiht an auto seeing as its only 25hp more than a stock Ford mustang GT (no shelby name) and the Shelby gt500 cannot bc of the hp numbers.

RE: $10K dealer markup!
The GT500 is made by Ford SVT, comes from the factory the way it is. Shelby GTs started out as regular GTs that left the factory "normal", went to Shelby's facility and were reworked. The GT500 I saw didn't have a signed/number dash plate, the SGT did.
