FRPP Fan Blades
I know this has been probably asked one thousand times but I didn't want to resurrect an old thread.
I was wondering if I could simply replace my 17" PP wheels directly with the Fanblades without any fitting issues? (I do have the Pony Package.) Also, if anyone knows where the cheapest I can get a set of these is? I've seen a few members here selling them but curious as to how much the are used vs. new.
Thanks for the help!

RE: FRPP Fan Blades
Yes you can. FanBlades are your friend.
There are some steering stop issues
but you can swap em. V6 or Pony Package.
eBay or the wanted/for sale section of the forum.
$400 shipped for a set would not be too high.
www.mustangsunlimited.com sells em new but
I dont remember the cost right off hand.
Now the 18x8.5 Polished Bullitts are another story.
Thereare V6 brake caliper bracket clearance problems
around the hub area. You have to swap up to the GT
brake caliper mounting brackets and rotors for them to fit.
I have the 18" rims but need the rotors and brackets
before I can put them on. [:@]

RE: FRPP Fan Blades
I like 'em. Not certain yet which way, though. Currently Sparkling Silver as in the center version, just like they came from Tire Rack, on sale at $125 each.
I bought the sterring stop parts (nylon collars for the arms) but never installed them. No problems so far.
I don't like to post these big images, but don't see the "Attach thumbnail" button?

Wow.
Thats an awesome sale. Do you have any idea how long it will be running? I just bought a GPS system and would like to take advantage of this deal but the money is a little stung out right now. [:'(]

As others have mentioned, this kind of wheel comes up on eBaY and Craig's list from time to time. Of course, second-hand wheels are always a gamble, but you might get lucky.
Fanblades are good-looking, easy to clean, and apparently pretty durable, but they areheavy! For day-to-day use and cruising, they are good. If you plan on any kind of competition, the weight has a measurable influence on performance. More horsepower and torque, proportionally less of a drag, but in averages overa 27-runeighth-mile test on my V6 with GT muffler, K&N drop-in air filter, and B@M@chips 91-octane tunes, looks as if the
17x8 Bullitt/235-55 Pirelli wheel/tire set (53 pounds per corner)
gives about two-tenths ET in TORQUE Tune, one-and-a-quarter mph in PERF Tune; 60-foot: about six hundredths advantage in TORQ, loss in PERF, as compared to
18x8.5 Fanblades/245-45 Bridgestone RE01R (60 pounds per corner) set.
I can't rule out the influence of tire traction characteristics or learning on those results, but I tried to maintain consistency between sessions and runs: same initial fuel load (eighth-tank) and other controllable weights (empty interior and trunk, spare and jack stayed in).
