RE: Painting valve covers?
haha okay... sometimes I see dan (phunnyguy) post on threads and then I post, then people ask dan a question... and most of the time its for phunnyguy but sometimes i think MAYBE... just maybe they meant me? lol
yeah I'll be there, but my car isn't registered for the run...

RE: Painting valve covers?
prepping plastic is pritty strait forward.
start with soap and water, then a wax and grease remover.
next clean with a plastic cleaner (dupont or ppg or any other paint manufacture)
then you can scuff it with a gray scotch bright, or fine sand paper. if you dont clean before you scuff, you could have some problems later.
clean again with the wax and grease remover,
now right before you start to spray paint or primer, spray on an adheasion promoter for plastic (dupont has a product called Plas-stics, or sem has a rattle can spray as well)
prime or paint away.
have fun
