Never floor it while angry. ;) Remember it is better to be pissed off than pissed on! :D

Sometimes you'll get both wheels to spin with a 7.5" open rear. My '98 3.8L/auto vert would spin 'em both in the snow, but not on drive pavement. It depends on surface conditions.

But as answered above, no 4.0L-S197's (thru '08) come factory-equipped with LSD.

YES,sometimes you can get both wheels to spin on the open 7.5 rear. These cars really need a posi.

I agree (that's why i added one).. but I think for the general masses (who Ford made the v6 stang for) a open differential is safer in bad weather. The back end kicks out a little in the rain when you loose traction in a rwd car with an open differential (even when going straight).. swwwwinnngs out with a locking differential... most people are so used to fwd cars that they have no idea what to do during a fishtail. My point.. I don't think Ford excluded a t-lok due to money.. I think they did it due to whom they are targeting for sales. I could be wrong though.

My 00 V6 used to lay two lines when I floored inon drypavement and into 2nd as well. As it got older itwouldn't do it anymore.

When both tires lose traction, you fishtail. I consider that a pro... But some people don't.

Read the many "I lost control decellerating on the offramp and hit a guard rail-
it WAS raining" or "the rear end just swung out from behind me and I hit the
person next to me" posts that come along most regularly. They are deadly in
the wrong hands of uneducated T-Loc owners. But under the proper circumstances
as with mostthings like non-ABS brakes and excessive HP, it can be a world of fun.
If your spinnin one tire, you probably need one. ;)
