I'm using Amsoil for everything. Engine, Tranny and Rear. No complaints at all.

I put RP in this time, but only because I had 4 qts of it lying around, and no use for it.

IMO, RP is about the best oil you can get. It's a true PAO synthetic, well engineered, decent price, and easy to come by. BUT, I think it's much more than any street car needs. At $6.50 - $7.00a qt, not a sensible choice.

For a street car, I'd recommend a good priced Group IV "synthetic oil", like Quaker State, Valvoline,or Penzoil. They provide all the protection your street car needs, and a reasonable price.

Unless you can get Mobile 1 at a good price, I would not recommend it.It's also a group IV just like the others; but a lot more expensive. It's a goodoil, just not a good value.

At my next oil change, I'll switch to one of the others.

I use mobil 1 in my astro van.The ford dealer does my mustang oil changes because they have this engines for life deal as long as you let them change the oil . It does not cost me anything. According to the dealer they say their oil is a synthetic blend ,otherwise if I were to change it myself I would use mobil 1.
