Default strut tower brace vs . CDC Shaker system

What would you guys pick, a CDC Shaker system or a FRPP strut tower brace and why? I need to pick one. Obviously the Shaker system is much more money but the asthetics look better and at least provides some gains in HP, although very minor. What are the benefits of the tower brace?

Strut tower braces are virtually useless in our cars. Unless you are serious into auto x racing.. it's for show only.

The shaker looks cool.

I agree with Sandman.
Even the FR500C race car doesn't have any strut bar.
That particular car won the European GT4 class (road course) last yearagainst Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Aston-Martin to name a few, without a strut bar.

So, I say you don't need it.

The Shaker also is for looks, no HP gains.
Love the Shaker though.

Those shakers are tight! I think the strut brace has minimal effect, even on the weakest cars. My Mustang seems really firm. I'd go with the shaker.

Tell me Why? I don't get it if it has a CAI Under the Hood then Why the intake on top? Is it just for show? Why cut a hole in the hood for something that shakes a little when you start the car? Sorry I just do not understand this system. The Old Shakers were the CAI Why do This?

OUCH play nice

CDC Shaker FTW.
Strut bars are for show and Shakers are for go.
Shakers funnel cold air into the airbox where the air filter is.
Then into the engine. No air drawn infrom the engine compartment
as with a CAI set-up. [&:]

This site is changing for the worse YOU are Right I do not understand and that is why I have asked about the Shaker system. If you do not understand a system and ask for help to understand it why don't you pitch in to help a guy out instead of crapping on him? Does it make you feel good? Maybe I just need to start looking for a new site to go to. I just do not get some of you people.

The Shaker can be modified to be functional with a cold air intake system. I modified the shaker first. I cut the shroud and then fit a gasket around the edges so that it made a true seal against the underside of the hood. I adapted a 3 inch air tube to an inlet to the CAI. It know gives a direct hit of true outside cold air via the shaker.
