My guess is that it won't age very good.
The engine compartment is a tough environment[8D].
For a daily driver, I wouldn't recomand it.

very true... but i still think it's worth a try. i can always get replacement covers for around $100 if needed...

worst that could happen would be the paint not holding which would result in going back to the plastic covers.

we'll see what happens thanks for the input, i'll let you all know if I do go this route

Dont worry. I kinda got the sarcasm and even if you weren't joking...no need to get all pissy about something like that.

By the way you have a pretty bad *** car dude.

+10000000000000000000000000 on the painting...i wanted to do it to mine as well - no idea what color - maybe ford blue YUMMY you may end up having to touch up once-in-awhile - my plymouth is horrible about it...gets to lookin faded, dull, dirty-looking, etc. i don't know how it would hold-up on a newer daily driver.....she doesn't get driven too much, but, still gets painted every year...i should just get chrome - i'll do that after i get to freshening-up the rest of the engine compartment
