Default X-Charger, Gears, and Rims

I plan on gettin a Hi-po (2.8)X-Charger, Gears, Detriot True Trac, and 20' Foose Nitrous rims.

At first i was pretty much set on getting 4.10 gears but after a lot of reading i see a lot of supercharged Stangs with 3.73's. But since i'm geting 20' rims should i go with 4.10's?

Btw; I use my car as a daily driver mostlyon theroad and some highway riding. But don't get me wrong, cuz i will be floorin it when i get a chance to in abandoned parking lots plusI'll probablygo to the track a few times just to get my times and to have fun (I'll be gettin LCA's too).

Also, What do u guys mean when you say "top end?" I usually see it being said when people are talking about gears
Example: "I also worried about the top end"

top end is usually in reference to top speed range like I take off faster than my co-workers eclipse but he has more top end than me

forgot to add most people seem to prefer 3.73s on here with f/i reguardless of rim size

yeah, most say 3.73's with F/I but those 20's are big and heavy. might be a toss up in your situation.

with an xcharger id almost go with 3.45s, but since you are doing 20s id go with the 3.73s, you dont need to rev with a roots blower like you do wtih centris

Gotcha. Btw, I'm looking for tires that aren't too low profiled because i don't want to make the ride quality that bad. Plus i'll probably get a taller tire (29') Do you guys have any suggestions on tires (brand and size) that are good for a Stang with 20' and is a road warrior?

Even with 20" rims, depending on the tires you choose, you may not have a larger overall diameter than stock.

28HopUp has posted a great calculator for how your tire diameter effects the final gear ratio. I'll try and find it.

My rear tires are 28.2" overall, a little more than an inch larger than stock, and my 3.73s are actually 3.31s with the taller tire. 4.10s would have become 3.73s.

I'll find that chart because it may help you consider the correct gears, or a different tire size.

Thanx. I'd appreciate that man! Btw, What exactly is "side wall"? I'm assuming that its how much the tire sticks out past the rim's lip. Is that right?

Sidewall is the outer wall of the tire.

Gotcha. Also what do each of these numbers mean: Example: 285/45/20
(i know that the last # is the size of the rims)
