Default 3d carbon air dam help?

i'm expecting a 3d carbon air dam in the mail and i wanted to plan ahead of time so i could slap it on when it gets here.

i was just wondering if anyone here has purchased and installed one themself?

i was planning to paint it flat black to match the rocker panels.. i think someone else here did the same and i was wondering what kind of spray paint they used? also, any tips on the install would be great!!

i'll post pics when it gets in and when install is complete!

i think red would look best for the 3d carbon. other chin spoilers might pull it off going black.

Yea, keep it body color. It is one FAT chin spoiler. Ditch those V6 rockers and get GT ones. Gives the car a fuller/more aggressive look too.

You could just paint you rockers if you decide against the GT rockers. I prefer it that way too, should be a good look cant wait to see how your car looks with the 3D Carbon chin, its my favorite one

I bet it's quite more expensive to paint V6 rockers than to just get GT rockers.

If you can find them in your color you are right but I can not find them in Screaming Yellow any more so I would have to buy White then have them painted so I might as well just have my V6ers painted. (Out in the Cold on SY paint boo hoo)

I was thinking last night (for once LOL) and well how would that chin look painted in a GT/CS style bumper? That would be interesting to try out....

I have the 3D Carbon Front Air Dam. The install was not hard at all. I kept the 6er rocker panels and had them painted at the same time as the other body parts.

i heard you there were some screws that have to be put in through the wheel wells or something like that? was that difficult at all?

i do agree that it would look great if it matched my body color but i plan on slapping a GT500 rear bumper in the near future and i think it would flow much better if i just kept it all flat black all around the rockers/bumper
