well i have the violators and they are loud...i like em loud... here is what Pypes has to say about their own products

Street Pros

Recommended for stock to medium modified vehicles where an aggressive sound is appreciated but not advertised. Sound Rating = [7.0]

Violators

It flows as much air as our Race-Pro muffler but has an incredibly unique and aggressive sound! The Violator’s aggressive sound is the result of a unique internal louvered tube with mini sound deflector chambers. If you want to be noticed... this is your muffler!Sound Rating = [9.0/10]

Yeah the violator is supposed to be louder. I thought that they stopped selling the violator. I heard the only way to get one of those anymore was used?

The Violators are loud, my dad has violators on his chevelle and it's louder than the race pro's at idle and when you floor it, but it's not real loud at cruising speeds, if you want loud go with the violators, but i'm sure the street pro's will sound nice too.

I also have the violators, with the pypes o/r x pipe, they are very loud, but they are not too bad at cruising speed..they do have a great tone, very aggressive. I just got mine about 3-4 weeks ago from blue oval industries. they had a header back system with the x-pipe and violator cat back....for $369 + $69 for shipping, couldn't pass it up. these will get you noticed.

I have some Street Pros, they have a really nice sound, but were just too loud.
Went to GT mufflers, which sound decent and arealmost too quiet. Wish I could find something in between. I thought about putting the Street Pros back on with a small resonator in the midpipe.
