Default new 08 convertible tomorrow

The 05 convertible in the photo is going to be traded tomorrow on an 08 DARK CANDY RED PONY PACKAGE CONVERTIBLE. The convertible top is black and the interior is GRAY LEATHER like we have now in the 05. Nothing wrong with the 05, wanted the 17 inch wheels and the PONY PACKAGE and my wife wanted the red color and some extras. Rather then throw moneyat the silver 05, we made a decent deal and will enjoy the change. The 05 only has 31,000 miles on it and is a great car.

I can't imagine it would be anywhere near as cost effective as just buying some take off parts, but she sounds pretty sweet though in candy red.

Well, congrats. But really, it was just the difference between throwing money at the '05 or burning money in a trade, right? What trade did you get?

The 08 is GORGEOUS. I now have my PONY PACKAGE and IRENE is thrilled with the deep red color and the car is SWEEEEET !!!! We have SIRIUS satellite radio and a lot of extra goodies that the silver one didn't have. I was able to transfer some of my little extra goodies to the new car and will make some mods to it over time (muffler is next).

Good name, hadn't thought much about it yet.

The new car continues to impress, loving the SIRIUS satellite radio and the extra little doodads (heated seats, it's 100 out there right now, will try them later ).

4.0,

I got a very good trade for the 05 (had done some research on EDMUNDS prior to my first visit). As for the 08, there is a $1500 rebate in place at the moment (even during convertible season) and I bought at the end of the month, bringing the sticker down.

If these cars are anything like motorcycles, you will probably eat most of the added stuff when you trade or sell. Extra stuff doesn't always bring extra money. My 05 was close to stock (hated giving up the GT muffler, will get another), so I didn't have a lot of items that I had to leave on the car.

I hope this helps without me giving specifics.

Go with FRPP duals if you change the muffer... much nicer with the top down, no drone.
