Default vortech and xcharger owners

hello everyone, just got to thinking about supercharging my mustang but wasnt sure what to go with. price is a major factor for me, i know what i want but what is practical is what i have to go with. i would love to have the xcharger, not only for power and ease of use but i love to hear them whine. the non-intercooled vortech is $1,000 cheaper than the x and the intercooled version of the vortech. i was just curious as to any experiences the owners have had with their setups or if any owners are looking to get rid of their superchargers imay be interested in picking it up. just let me know, thanks.

reliability is my #1 concern. don't substitute price for reliability especially with a major mod like F/I. the X is winning me over and something i will definitely consider once my stang is fully paid off[8D].

reliability is definately a big part of it but theres 2 guys here at the dealership i work with, one owns a vortech the other a procharger and theyve never had issues out of either. i would prefer a procharger over the vortech due to not having to do any oil pan drilling but its the same price as the x. i dunno, more than likely it wont happen for me anyways but just thoughtid ask some opinions. im going to vegas next week, maybe i'll strike it rich.

I'd buy new.... check on the history of a car before you buy a used power adder. You don't want one that has been flogged and had the **** beat out of it.

I'm running the Cali spec, though I recently threw on a Steeda CAI. I still have the 3" pulley. My last dnyo run had me at around 271 rwhp/ 278rwtq. A lot of the hi-po kits with Dougs tune are runnning close to if not over 300 rwhp. I think Marty (Beaustang) made 291 with the hi-po kit.
