I'm generally around 21 mpg. 2/3 city, 1/3 highway. Kinda have a lead foot.

I gotta be honest... some of these MPG's are just too hard to believe. Are you calculating these by measuring fillup gallons vs. miles on trip odometer, or trusting the in car computer? It's generally impossible to beat the govt. estimated MPG's on any car, but yet is seems to happen routinely here, and often by 3-4 MPG.I have never had a car that I could get better than EPA out of... dunno, heavy foot maybe, but even when I baby a car, I would be luck to get EPA.

Just looked on Ford site. EPA for V6 is 24 highway. I just don't see how you can get 28 or 29. If that kind of performance was possible, the EPA would be higher.

New cafe standards require the sticker to be more accurate on mpg rating. This applies to '08's for sure and I believe '07's as well. Before then the stickers on cars mpg where way inflated. Now I can tell you that I have an '08 and the sticker says(looking at it now) 17 city and 26 hiway and I get a combined 23 mpg with mostly highway driving. I'll take that compared to my '01 GT that gets 16 mpg!

well you have to remember to that most of us here have done mods like a exhaust and cai/tune that will affect mpg most of the time for the better as long as we drive nice and not hammer the crap out of it

i pulled 28mpg off with a feather foot. the trip back i drove "normal" and got 24mpg which i think is still fair considering my gears.

i have a manual so i can shift at any rpm level i want to which is a big help, and i have a dyno tune that allows for it when its not under heave load, im guessing id get like 12-13 if i were to floor it every where
