I just ordered my T-Lok and 4.10 gears for my V6, does anyone else have these?
I'm just wondering what I can expect once I get them installed... can't wait...

I might be wrong, but I think its ford's version of positraction - supposed to supply power to the wheel that isn't spinning instead of the one that is so you get traction. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong =)

Hows it going fellas! Gotta love positraction I do! I had 4.10's installed and at 70 your sitting at 2600rpms big difference! From personal experience only use motorsport gears and the ford t-lok. Aftermarket gears whine period (mine have decelaration whine only whines when you let off the gas) (which was told i was lucky as most of the time you get accelaration whine) The ford t-lok is rebuildable! My auburn which is a high dollar heavy duty piece of equipement if it dies it has to be trashed as it is not repairable the t-lok is! All motorsport gears are cut exactly the same no matter what the ratio. There is a guy in Dallas www.themustangshop.net he charges $250 to install a posi and gears and takes a little over an hour to do the job. New t-lok and gears are about $450 so $800 would be the most i would pay! It's safe to buy a used t-lok but i would buy new gears. Yall should join www.3.8mustang.com there are several people on there that sell stuff we can use cheap. I am dafaic there aswell. I was the first 05 owner on that board and alot of guys refer to me when newbies join. You can contcat pete on 3.8 and he sells sct xcals alot cheaper than anybody else can touch period. there is another guy that has a mustang junk yard and he sells useable t-loks and gears for around $200!

dafaic, thanks for the tip on the Dallas shop, I was hoping to find someone around here that could do the ring and pinion swap for me I have a couple of questions for you:
- How much worse did your gas mileage get with the 4.10's?
- How did you compensate for the revised gearing to get your speedo to read properly?
Thanks!
