Beating a New Edge GT
(Sorry if there was another topic talking about this, but the search function seems to not be working.)
What kind of mods do you guys think we would have to do to our cars if we want to be able to beat a New Edge GT?
- CAI + tune
- Gears
- UDP's?
- stickier tires?

RE: Beating a New Edge GT
You need mods that will give you the equivalent of 38hp at the track if you have a pony package, and that's to match him.
There is no such thing as sticy tires by the way. There are Street, Semi-Race Semi-Drag, Slicks and Drag Slicks. To upgrade in tires you have to chage the whole goal of your car. In each catagory all the best tires are the same prety much.

A few months ago I raced my cousins stock new edge GT automatic from a dig and took him......I wasnt too impressed with
his new edge. I have 4.10's/TLOK, udp's, lca's, intake and tune, duals/corsas, so it is verypossible.

You'll have your hands full.
I've seen some run around 14.2ish stock (or near stock, street tires and exhaust(, some 14.4's, some better. Depends. They respond well to mods, and can bust into the 13's easy. The mod market for them is priced very well. They are actually cool cars and run strong. In the right hands, they are very formidable cars. Our cars are no slouches either, with bolt ons, we run all over the 14's where a lot of v8's run.

If the new edge GT owner is a decent driver, you'll pretty much need F/I or juice to take him down. If he's a novice and you are experienced, a full set of bolt ons could do the trick.
