Default looking to purchase a v6 got some questions

I am in the market for a 2005-2007,V6, 5spdcar I was wondering a few things about them, the mainquestionon my mind is can you get these cars with limited slip differentials. I tried the search feature and couldn't find anything about it. Also were there any performance packages or options offered from the factory that boosted the performance like changes with the gear rations or any little things like that? Another thing I was interested in knowing was what are the gas mileage that you guys have been getting with your V6 cars. Thanks guys

They don't come with LSD's but you can add a FRPP T-lock for that.

I don't think there are any performance packages that are options from the factory, but there are many aftermarket options(including the gear ratios).

MPGs...well...if you drive it too hard you could get as bad as 14 mpgs, if you're careful city driving can get you 18-22, and highway is like 24+

No T-Loc from the factory but you can add it to the 7.5 rear or get a 8.8 Mustang take off rear thats an easy install. I consistently get 18-20 mpg around town and had a best of 29.1 mpg highway before the gears. With my car running the mods in my signature below I've gotten 27.6 mpg highway on a recent trip and this iswith anautomatic. This is figured the old fashion way.. gas used, miles traveled.

The Pony Package option adds 17" wheels, rear traction bar, and larger front traction bar for added performance. The package also includes front fog lamps, Pony w/corral front grill, Pony side emblems and for 2006 Anti Lock Brakes and Traction Control.

The price of the PP was reduced in '07 and '08 because the ALB/TC was dropped and available as a separate option.

You can get a 2008 Mustang with Performance Packs.
From the 2008 Mustang Brochure;

Handling Packs for V6, GT & GT500 (3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty)

*Uniquely tuned dampers, lower/stiffer springs, anti-roll bars and urethane bushings
*Ford Racing Strut-Tower brace

Power Upgrade Packages for V6, GT & GT500 (3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty)

*Cold Air Kit with larger mass airflow sensor housing
*Ford Racing performance Calibration
*Tuned Mufflers

I know some (if not all) of these parts are available now for our Mustangs.

The Pony Package option adds available in '06 & '07 offer improved handling and styling, but not any more power. A custom tune wakes these cars up big time and they make for a great daily driver. Stock rear gearing is 3.31:1. 7.5" TLock or other LSD are available through Ford Racing/aftermarket and used ones often come up in the classifieds. I get around 25-26 on my commute which is 3/4 highway. Looks like I'm right up the road from you so just shoot me a pm if you want to test drive a warmed over 4.0 to see how you like it:-)

The V6 has a 31.5mm front ?"traction"? sway bar only.
The PP has a 18mm rear sway bar and a 31.5mm front sway bar.
The GT has a 20mm rear and a 34mm front sway bar.
A V6 with the GT sways and poly bushingsis a step up from the
OEMPP suspension set-up.

you'll probably have a really hard time trying to find a 5speed in a v6, they seem to be more common in 05 and 06s than 07s and 08s, even though i may be wrong

i also get about 20-24mpg and still "have fun" driving, its mostly highway with some city
