Was itthe muffler only or did you do a full exhaust? Are you sure the cats weren't messed with?

I Remember another member having the same problem after install a code poped up but it had nothing to do with his replacing the muffler it was just bad timing did your ck eng light go away after reinstalling the stock muf? there is no reason for the ck eng light to come on after a muffler change, no reason at all.

Maybe if he disconnected the battery for 30+ minutes to let the computer reset, that might get the light to go off and stay off.

Wasn't the muffler. It wasjust something else that happened at the same time. Something had chewed through some wires under my car, dunno what did itbut they just connected them back together. Weird coincidence it happened at the same time.

Glad you got it fixed! Yeah squirrels are notorious for chewing through wires. A friend owns an automotive shop and he is always fixing cars with chewed wires. You'll have to get a couple of dogs or cats to keep them at bay. Only thing about cats is they love to jump on your car!
