D&D has a swap kit for the GT. I don't believe they have one for the 4.0

man o man that looks awesome....did anybody notice the supercharger????

tell us about it....is this a 6xer?
Yes, it's a 4.0L V6.

It has an X-Charger installed (did that myself as well) with the Hipo option (CAI and 2.8" pulley) I just bought a used Bamachips "Wet-X" water/methanol injection system, so I'll be adding that soon.

Plans further down the road call for replacing the factory 5-spd manual with a 6-spd, and adding the intercooler rig for the "X" when it's available.
Who makes a 6 speed transmission for out 4.0s?

One of the members (on another forum that it is verboten to speak of here) has developed an adapter plate to mate the 4.0L to the TR6060 6-spd as used in the GT500, and has had his car up and running with it for a couple months. The plate does require a bit of clearencing of the back of the engine w/ a die grinder, but it is very do-able. The major sticking point for most people will be the cost of the TR6060 (several grand)

torch, did you paint your radiator behind the grille? and if you did, what paint did you use? i was considering a blackout grille from CDC and i heard that it looks waaaaaay better with a darker background to work with

You can bet your backside I did

The GT500 grille, like many others (the billet one from the Shelby GT's spring to mind) REALLY shows the radiator support/hood latch area through the grille and looks freaking horrible unless the stuff behind is blacked out imho (especially on bright colors like Torch Red, White, Screaming Yellow, Grabber Orange, etc).

I taped things off and painted the support, face of the radiator, and basically everything behind there with a Krylon matte black designed for BBQ grilled and other items that see weather exposure and heat.

This should give you a better idea re: what I did (those foglight wires I didn't worry about taping, because they were getting yanked out and replaced):

Yours likewise. Still hoping to get a chance to see it in person sooner or later.

Thanks. Entered my first car show last Saturday. They even gave me a trophy.
I'm hoping to enter the fall show in Shrewsbury, MA and Warwick, RI.
