Default T-Lok

so I'm thinking of getting a t-lok and some upgraded gears for my v6. is it an ok idea for a daily driver (not racing, or atleast only with freinds and not hard-core) and doing some burnouts ..etc now and then? or will it now handle etc? and what kind of gear would you recommend? i was thinking some 3.31's or 55's.

T-lock and some gears is good if you want to have some fun. If you plan on putting more horsepower in with likea supercharger then you might as well upgrade to the 8.8 rear. If not, then some 3.73s or 4.10s are good gears.

and just to clear the water, the T-lok is a limited slip not a "locker" so i wont squeel around corners and what not. and will i need to retune my car?

If you change the gears you need a re-tune

Your stock gears are 3.31 already so you won't need a new ring and pinion if you decide you want to keep the stock ratio. I haven't seen any 3.55's for the 7.5 though - I thought about that when I put the 3.73 in my car and never found any.

If you stay with the 3.31 adding the Tlok won't require you to adjust anything in your tune.

buy an Xcal 3 from vmptuning.com to tune for the gears, id go with 4.10s if your staying NA/juicing/centris and 3.73s if you wanted to turbo or Xcharge, also dont forget abering kit

they dont make 3.55s for a 7.5 they have 3.45 or 3.73

what size are your rims? by burnouts and racing id be hesitant ona tlok, you can get a true trac or eaton LSD which are a bit more, but will take the abuse better, you might not have a problem if you do a tlok, but the key word is might, you wont have a problem if you use a eaton/detroit unit

bering kit is a rebuild kit, its not needed but its wortht he extra $60 to have peice of mind your rear end will be set for a long time

you can keep 3.31s if you want but its the best bang for your buck to upgrade

I'm pretty new to the modding world myself, in order to get both back wheels to spin instead of just the one we need a lsd right? That is all we need to make them spin, but to make it safe and durable and if adding power that is when the 8.8 would be needed as well as a new driveshaft correct?
