Default anybody help with this?

Ok here's the problem.... 2005 V6 manual trans, 38,xxx miles, sparatically while either the clutch is in or the car is out of gear it revs to anywhere between 2k and 2500RPM for absolutely no reason. Sometimes worse than others....sometimes not at all.... Can somebody please tell me what the he** is going on? I'm sure it's a simple fix and probably overlooked by me numerous times. I just can't nail it down. Thanks in advance.

My car does that some times. It's worse when the car is cold and I haven't let it warm up. However, mine only does it while the car is rolling to a stop, and typically the RPM's will drop if I push in the clutch. Once the car stops, it usually settles down to a normal idle speed.
