Default for what its worth....

.......

I wanted to test my mpg, seeing that their are so many vague estimates of what our cars get. Im listing specs to the car for a clearer picture for those interested.

2007 pony package convertible (I think this is the heaviest v6 due to suspension upgrades and vert bracing)
17' wheels
40 lbs of speakers and box in trunk
full tank of gas
Convertible light bar
flowmaster at single exhaust
87 oct Evolution performance tune
10% ethanol BP citgo gas
165 lb driver

Car was driven 49.6 miles (90% highway) at 60mph on cruise control with the top down. The other 10% was city traffic where i babied the petal the entire time.

49.6 miles divided by 1.697 gallons of gas = 29.22mpg

On the highway doing 55-60 the mileage is great in this car. It's the around town stop-n-go driving that destroys the mileage. For example, I drive mostly stop and go all week for work and I get exactly what the sticker says 21MPG. On the highway though it jumps up to 29MPG if I can go far enough to notice. This happens rarely though. Sucks for me...

With 3.73 I would consider that great for highway milage. I get around 29-30 when I was stock on the interstate. Now just driving every day I usually get around 27 or so with duals and if I can find a tune that will work for me and then few other mods that I am gettingready to put on I am guess I will get 30 or so around town with something like 240+ horses

Miles divided by gallons used.....
You start with a full tank. Set your trip to 0 drive..... Fill up again. See how many gallons you used and get # of miles from your trip. Do the math.
