The Z and G35 are quite different as well. Same Chassis and style motor. However, the G35 is a more luxurious version of the Z, and weighs at least 150lbs. more. So, performance wise, the new 07 Z will romp all over even the new G37.

It's closer than you think. A friend of mine has a G35 which is almost the same. It's a coin toss who wins. When I first got mine we raced on the I5. Another one has a 330i and I toast him. The 330i guy does granny shift but I still win. Just my two cents. Beside the 350 and G35 are girl cars.
its not close at all.....the Z is close to the GT if not the same really in numbers........so you are saying the GT and the v6 are close too
Matt, if you're gonna start stirring the pot, then you'll have to watch the stove

Curious to know why you think the 350Z is a girl car? With equal drivers, they are faster then the all mighty S197 GT. Believe it or not. Weight, Aero, and Gearing....

The only people I know who own them are girls. I've driven all four mentioned cars and I wouldn't give up the V6 for either ricer. Once again just my opinion. Hey grabber don't you have a MIGHTY GT. Also 20 years from now which ones do you think we will see on Barrett-Jackson?

What makes you think I have a MIGHTY GT? Did I say that, or am I missing something?

Personal preference. Z's may be driving by girls, but are for more technologically advanced then mustangs, handle better, brake better, and have great top end. If you want to think about efficiency for a minute, how does the girly Z get 300 HP out of a V6? Especially a smaller V6 then you?

Don't take what I am saying the wrong way. I'm not nutswinger by any means. I respect all performance platforms, not just one.

Your sig line and picture, or maybe I am missing something. To each there own. Nothing wrong with the 350 just not for me. I'm a huge stang fan and will defend her just like someone would defend there football or basketball team. I might not cheer for the best team but it's my team.

I know what you mean. My GT is quick, but it is not Mighty. My Cobra is already just as fast, once I pulley her, game over for the GT.

I respect the way you stick up for mustangs.
