I went from my 05 MUSTANG WITHOUT the message center to an 08 WITH the message center and other bells and whistles. It is a nice feature, not sure how big a job to switch it over. I suspect it's quite a lot of wiring and some sensors, etc. Let us know what you find out.

We had an 07 with the mycolor or whatever it was with the extra stuff, to an 07 without it. The estimated mileage was kinda nice, but other than that I don't notice. I think it would be plug and play, since it's all controlled by the computer (I assume, I don't know for sure).

Try doing a Google search and see what you come up with. I did one and got these two;

You will need to upload the 'as built data' for a stang similar to yours that came OEM with the insturment cluster you want to install. This will need to be done by a dealer if you can even get one to do it for you. They all act stupid about it when I mention this mod to them.
If you order the cluster and associated switches from them, maybe they will do it for you.
Pop out the coverwhere the information center switches go and see if you have the harness/connector behind it for the switches. It sould be connected to a dummy plug molded into the cover. Most have it but some dont. If you dont have it, its not a simple
plug and play, load 'as built data, kinda thing. The insturment cluster communicates over
a high speed can buss. All the associated sensors either go into the PCM or the SJB and
them the data is sent to the insturment cluster over the can buss. Its like a home network
for a vehicle. The PCM/SJB has to have the logic loaded to send the data needed for the
upgraded cluster for it to even work properly. Its not just a remove the old cluster and install a newupgraded with the message center clusterkind of deal.
