I have been down the fang chin road, and was very disappointed.
The thing ripped into shread when a shredded tire hit my front bumper on the freeway. Its just cheap IMO

I've had mine for almost 2 years... no problem, although I haven't tested it running over anything.
The key point to remember if your painting it yourself (rattle can) is black self etching primer and SEM chip guard matte black paint.

i have the 3d carbon front air dam which i feel matches the rockers amazingly. it actually comes white and i just primed and painted myself with bumper coating spray paint from Kragen/Autozone. looks just like the rockers!

How much is the 3D Carbon Air Dam? Price isnt listed on their website. Is there anywhere else to buy it from?

I have the CDC chin and am very pleased with it. I'v hit a couple parking humps that I thought I would clear and the thing has held up perfectly. I bought a Fang before I saw the CDC and sold the Fang because it is weak compared to the CDC. Fiberglass is not too good of an idea for a chin spoiler. My CDC came pre-painted from the factory and it's a textured paint like the rockers. I would recommend the CDC over the Fang.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I kinda like the look of the Fang, but if it's flimsy and not well-made then it may be better to stick with the CDC. There's a lot of road humps and parking lot humps around here, so I'd hate to go over one of them and loose the chin.

i still say 3d carbon is the way to go! i chose it because unlike the fang and cdc, it lies flush in that little bit of the bumper right below the lower opening as opposed to leaving a bit of it exposed.

My Fang matches my rockers... but I bought it used online.. so I am not sure if if came painted from Fang.. or the guy did it himself. Honestly.. if you are good with a rattle can.... it seems like you could get a good mate finish with some nice black engine paint. I use turtle wax ice on my chin spoiler regularly... and it hides any flaws in the paint.
